Two condominium buildings in Campbell River, B.C., were evacuated Tuesday night after a landslide drew police and firefighters to a waterfront neighbourhood south of the city's downtown core. According to the release, a woman's dog had run onto the ice anda man who was also walking his dog went out onto the ice to help. The man's bodywas founddownstream in the river around 5 p.m., according to police. White was walking his dog near Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park on Tuesday before he attempted the rescue. This meeting of the two branches is known as the Saskatchewan River Forks.
